Terri Mack, Kay Kwee Kway Kwa, is Da'naxda'xw Awaetlala on her late mother's side, Hungarian on her late father's side. Terri has worked as a deckhand, pastry chef, Aboriginal Education Assistant and District Aboriginal Resource Coordinator for SD#68, and for Stz'uminus First Nation as Community Literacy Coordinator. During her 20 year career within education, 16 of those years were dearly dedicated to literacy initiatives around the province of B.C., having worked in partnership with SFU, VIU, and many school districts. Terri had also successfully designed both intermediate and primary summer based "Literacy Camps" for students who were reading significantly below grade level. Today, Terri is CEO of Strong Nations with a focus on publishing, an active member of the Nanaimo community contributing workshops to schools and organizations, and she continues to write as a Strong Nations author.
